Katherine Wigmore Eyre (1901-1970)

American author. Born in 1901 in Los Angeles. Ms. Eyre wrote for both children and adults. Her adult novels were mainly gothic fiction. Her children's books included two pony stories, one illustrated by fellow pony author Decie Merwin. Both books were first published by Oxford University Press although it is unclear whether this was the UK or USA arm of the publishers. Certainly they are easier to find in the USA so suggests it may have been first published in America.
